Update: Retro Americana Divergence – Bringing Back the Good Ol’ Days

Posted: May 23, 2014 in Uncategorized

It’s been a year since the Trayvon Martin trial of George Zimmerman and I don’t forgive George for his actions that night that left a young man dead. I do, however, hold more contempt for the “Stand Your Ground” law than just one person making himself a vigilante. Even though the Martin Luther King next generation Dreamers petitioned and protested with a peaceful sit in. When they got what they wanted, which was a sit down with the governor of Florida the law remained unchanged.

Immigration is still a topic Republicans don’t want to go near. They’re panicking at the thought of a new flow of Latin Americans coming in to citizenship. Even the population shows a clear majority for immigration reform the politicians do not want it all. If you are gay then you may have jumped for joy, depending on which state you live in. The year has gotten some positive news. Name some things over the past year that has changed in your view or stayed the same.
