An alleged ex-lover of Donald Sterling is claiming she was the subject of racial discrimination and sexual harassment during the time she was employed by him.
Maiko Maya King filed a lawsuit against the disgraced former owner of the LA Clippers with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
King was married at the time that she met Sterling, and claims that he continually encouraged her to leave her husband and come work for him.
King, who is represented by Gloria Allred, claims that two years after she split up with Sterling in 2011, she began working for him. While he supported her financially and she worked for his foundation during their relationship, he also allegedly made comments about her African-American husband, including, “How could you be married to a black man?” and “Why would you bring black people into the world?”
