LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — Body parts found strewn across Long Island have been identified as those of a missing Brooklyn mother, and an arrest has made in the grisly case, authorities said Thursday.
Leah Cuevas, 42, was arrested in connection with the slaying of Chinelle Latoya Thompson Browne, a mother of four who vanished July 5.
The 27-year-old victim was first reported missing by her husband, who lives in Guyana with the couple’s four children.
Dale Browne told local media in Guayana that his wife fought, possibly physically, with her landlady the day before she went missing.
Cuevas’ address on Sumpter Avenue in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn matches that of Browne’s, but police could not immediately confirm whether the suspect is the landlady in question.
